All Saints 

Saints in the Church

  A Synaxis (gathering) of the Saints.  The first Sunday after Pentecost is dedicated to all Saints.  The Saints compose the "cloud of witnesses" " of whom the world is unworthy"(Heb. 11:33-12:2).  The Saints are from many different walks of life:  ascetics, soldiers, prophets, and martyrs.
