It is always standard that an icon of Christ be placed immediatly
to the right (south) of the Royal Door. On this icon Christ is presented
as the Sheperd or Teacher. The text is from John 7:12 "I am the light
of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the
light of life.
